MAUREEN GORDING COUNSELLING AND CONSULTING

Moving Towards Your Most Authentic Life

Home: Welcome

CAN COUNSELLING HELP ME?

You might be feeling depressed and anxious, worrying, struggling to sleep or grieving a loss A health crisis or the aging process may be impacting how you feel about yourself. Intrusive thoughts could be disrupting your days or nights. Caregiving the people you love may begin to feel like a burden. Irritability, withdrawal from the activities you previously enjoyed, avoiding friends and family, exhaustion and generally not feeling like yourself are signs you might need help.

Have you tried everything but can't seem to get back to you? It can be hard to reach out and I can't promise you'll never experience depression, anxiety or stress again but if you are ready to put in the work I can help you feel better. Together we can come up with strategies that will help in both the short and long-term.

GET TO KNOW ME

I love what I do.  I have the privilege of being invited into people's internal lives, listening to their strengths and struggles, offering tools and insights and walking beside them as they move towards the life they want to live.

In addition to aligning values one of my favourite tools to share with clients is Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which uses eye movements to help process difficult experiences without having to put words to them. It can help you to feel better very quickly. I also have tools for insomnia, and work with grief, caregiving, aging, pain and illness.

I am passionate about helping people create their most authentic lives. If you're curious about how ART, CBT-I (Insomnia) or talk therapy might help please reach out for a free 15 minute consultation to see if we could be a good fit or to book an appointment.
